Serves 3 to 4
Ingredients:
- Cooking Oil, 1 tablespoon (½ + ½ tablespoon)
- Chicken Wings, 14
- Dried Chillis, 2
- Green Onions, 3 stalks (cut into about 10cm long)
- Ginger, 3 slices
- Shao Xing (Chinese Rice) Wine, 2 tablespoons
- Cola, 1 can (330ml)
- Dark Soy Sauce, 2 tablespoons
Instructions:
- In a 24cm Thermos® KFH-024 Deep Non-Stick Frying Pan, heat ½ tablespoon of cooking oil for about 2 to 3 minutes over low-medium heat.
- Pan-sear the chicken wings (on a single layer and in batches) for about 10 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken wings from the non-stick frying pan and set them aside.
- In the same Non-Stick Frying Pan, heat remaining ½ tablespoon of cooking oil for about 2 minutes over low-medium heat.
- Add dried chillis, green onions and ginger slices. Stir fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- After 1 minute, add Shao Xing wine, cola, dark soy sauce and browned chicken wings. Bring the contents to a boil, and stir well to ensure that the chicken wings are coated with the sauce evenly.
- When boiling, continue to simmer the dish for 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Before serving, garnish with chopped green onions and enjoy!
