FISH AND TOFU MISO SOUP

Ingredients:

  • Kelp Seaweeds, 4 buds
  • Kelp Soup Stock, about 500ml 
  • Fish Slices, 100 grams (cut into cubes)
  • Tofu, 30 grams (cut into cubes)
  • White/Red Miso Paste, 2/3 tablespoon
  • Spring Onions, to garnish

 

Instructions:

  1. Pre-heat a Thermos® Food Jar by filling it with hot boiling water till the inner rim, close the lid tightly and let it sit aside for 5 minutes. Discard water.
  2. Add kelp seaweeds and fill the food jar with hot boiling water till the inner rim. Close lid tightly and let it sit aside for 1 minute. Drain water.
  3. In a separate pot, add kelp soup stock and fish cubes, and bring it to a boil. 
  4. Add tofu cubes into the food jar, followed by the boiling kelp soup with fish slices and fill it till the food jar's inner rim (about 80% full). 
  5. Add miso paste and mix well. Close the food jar's lid immediately and let it sit aside to continue cooking for 20 minutes.
  6. Before serving, garnish with spring onions.

 

 Notes:

  • This recipe is based on using a Thermos® Food Jar JBM-500 or JBM-501. You may adjust the ingredients' quantity accordingly.
