NO DIET DAY HERO IMG

INTERNATIONAL NO DIET DAY

On 6 May, the world celebrates International No Diet Day. As jubilant as it may sound, it is not a celebratory event for us to give up whatever diets we are on today, but to increase awareness of healthy eating habits and bring forth the issues of dangerous fad diets. If your dietary plan involves skipping meals or eating as little as possible, that compromises your health and may result in long term health issues, plus crash dieting is only temporary.

We recommend these three delicious and filling dishes that will give you a healthier outlook and help you build a better relationship with food for a realistic, sustainable diet.

One of the wonderful things about oats are their vitamins (B1 and B5), minerals (manganese and magnesium) and antioxidants. Also, oats are gluten-free, which means it’s perfect for almost everybody. Couple that with oranges, raisins, goji berries and seeds and you’ll get a healthy breakfast that only takes 15 minutes to prepare and leaves you full for hours.

Lunch: Golden Chrysanthemum Chicken

Most of us know that chrysanthemum is good for us, but what exactly is it good for? Used traditionally as Chinese medicine, chrysanthemum can help lower blood pressure levels and relieve symptoms such as dizziness and headaches. Also included in the recipe, red dates are loaded with vitamins and minerals, help improve our body immunity and protect our liver. In addition, get your protein from the flavourful chicken, slow-cooked for two hours to perfect tenderness.
