CARROTS, MUSHROOM & MEAT PORRIDGE

Serve 1

Ingredients:

  • Rice, 50 grams 
  • Minced Meat, 50 grams
  • Carrots, 50 grams (diced)
  • Mushroom, 1 (diced)
  • Spring onions, to garnish (chopped)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ginger, to taste


Instructions:

  1. Soak rice in water for 10 minutes, drain water and set aside.
  2. Marinate minced meat with some salt and ginger and set aside. 
  3. In a Thermos® Food Jar, add rinsed rice, diced carrots and diced mushroom.
  4. Add hot boiling water full to the inner rim, close the lid tightly, give it a good shake and let it sit aside for 1 minute. After a minute, drain water from the contents.
  5. Add marinated minced meat, and add fresh hot boiling water to the inner rim. Stir to mix well, close lid tightly and let it site aside for 2 hours. 
  6. Before serving, garnish with spring onions.

 

Notes:

  • This recipe is based on using a Thermos® Food Jar JBM-501 or JBM-500

Tips:

  • It is highly recommended that the hot boiling water is freshly boiled and poured immediately into the Food Jar. This will allow the vacuum insulation technology of the Food Jar to retain the optimal temperature and heat to cook the contents.
