PORK MEATBALL CARBONARA

Serves 6

Ingredients:

Meatball:

  • Minced Pork, 400 grams
  • Minced Garlic, 1 teaspoon
  • Egg, 1
  • Parsley, 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
  • Flour, 1 tablespoon
  • Salt, ½ teaspoon
  • Pepper, ½ teaspoon
  • Cooking Oil, 2 tablespoons

Sauce:

  • Oil, 2 tablespoons
  • Onion, 1 (peeled and chopped)
  • Minced garlic, 1 teaspoon
  • Parsley, 3 tablespoons (finely chopped)
  • Carbonara Sauce, 500ml
  • Chicken Stock, 500ml
  • Salt, ½ teaspoon
  • Pepper, ½ teaspoon
  • Fusilli pasta, 150 grams
  • Cheese, to garnish (grated)

 

Instructions:

Meatball:

  1. Add in all ingredients in a bowl, except oil and mix well.
  2. Roll the meat mixture into meatball. (approximately 2cm)
  3. In a frying pan, add in cooking oil, and pan-fry the meatballs till browned. Set aside for later use.

Carbonara:

  1. In a 3.0L Thermos® Shuttle Chef® inner pot, add oil, onion, and stir fry until browned.
  2. Add in minced garlic and stir fry until fragrant.
  3. When fragrant, add in cooked meatballs, parsley, carbonara sauce, chicken stock, salt, pepper and bring contents to a boil. When boiling, let it simmer for 3 minutes.
  4. After 3 minutes, add in Fusilli pasta, and let it simmer for 1 minute.
  5. After 1 minute, close the inner pot with lid and transfer it into the Shuttle Chef® outer pot. Let it sit aside to continue cooking for 1 hour.
  6. Before serving, garnish with cheese.

 

Notes:

  • This recipe is based on using the Thermos® Shuttle Chef® TCRA-3000. You may adjust the ingredient quantities based on the capacity of the Shuttle Chef®.
