SWEET WALNUTS PORRIDGE

Serve 1

Ingredients:

  • Rice, 35 grams
  • Red Dates, 3 (washed, removed seed and halved)
  • Walnuts, 2 (washed and removed shells)
  • Brown Sugar, 1 tablespoon

 

Instructions:

  1. In a Thermos® Food Jar, add rice and hot boiling water full till inner rim. Close lid tightly and let it sit aside for 1 minutes for pre-heating.
  2. After a minute, drain water. Add red dates, walnuts and hot boiling water till about 80% full. Close lid tightly and let it sit aside for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  3. After 3 hours or in the morning, remove walnuts from the Food Jar and let it cool. When cooled, crush walnuts with a knife's side blade into pieces.
  4. Before serving, sprinkle walnuts pieces, add brown sugar and mix well.
