YONG TAU FOO SOUP

Serve 1

Ingredients:

  • Yong Tau Foo, 1 tray from supermarket
  • Dashi sachet, 1
  • Baby Spinach, 100 grams
  • Boiling Hot Water

 

Instructions: 

  1. Preheat a Thermos® Food Jar by pouring boiling hot water into the Food Jar, close the lid tightly and let it sit aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Wash and cut Yong Tau Foo ingredients into bite-size pieces. Wash baby spinach and cut into halves. 
  3. Discard water from the Food Jar.
  4. Add Dashi sachet into the Food Jar and pour in boiling hot water till half full. Close the lid tightly and let it sit aside for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove Dashi sachet from the Food Jar. Add Yong Tau Foo pieces.
  6. Pour in boiling hot water till inner rim full, close the lid tightly and let it sit aside for 45 minutes.
  7. Add Baby Spinach into Food Jar 5 to 10 mins before serving.
  8. Dish up and serve with Rice, Noodles or eat it on its own.
