HONEYDEW AND CHICKEN SOUP

Serves 6

Ingredients:

  • Chicken Drumsticks, 6 (excess fats removed)
  • Red Dates, 10 (seedless)
  • Goji Berries, 2 tablespoons
  • Clear Chicken Broth, 1 litre
  • Honeydew, 500 grams (cut into cubes)

Instructions:

  1. In a 3.0L Thermos® Shuttle Chef® inner pot, add all ingredients except honeydew cubes. Bring the contents to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. When boiling, close the inner pot with lid and transfer it into the Shuttle Chef® outer pot to continue cooking for at least 3 hours.
  3. After 3 hours, place the inner pot back to the stove and bring the contents to a boil.
  4. When boiling, add honeydew cubes. Close the inner pot with lid and transfer it into the Shuttle Chef® outer pot. Let it sit aside to continue cooking for another 1 hour.
  5. Before serving, add salt or pepper to taste.

Notes:

  • This recipe is based on using the Thermos® Shuttle Chef® TCRA-3000. You may adjust the ingredient quantities based on the capacity of the Shuttle Chef®.
