JAPANESE STYLE VEGETABLE PORRIDGE

Serves 1

Ingredients:

  • Japanese Komatsuna Vegetables, Baby Chye Sim, Xiao Bai Chye or Shanghai Green, 1 portion (about 10 grams)
  • Pickles, 1 tablespoon
  • Konbu Cha Kelp Tea, 1 tablespoon
  • Rice, 2 tablespoons
  • Hot Boiling Water, as required

 

Instructions:

  1. Cut washed vegetables into small pieces.
  2. In a Thermos® Food Jar, add rice and vegetables. Add hot boiling water and pre-heat for about 2 minutes without covering lid.
  3. Drain water from the Food Jar, add pickles and kelp tea.
  4. Add hot boiling water till the inner rim of the food jar, close with lid tightly and set it aside for at least 3 hours.

 

Notes:

  • This recipe is based on using a 0.3L Thermos® Food Jar JBQ-300. You may adjust the ingredients quantity based on the capacity of the Thermos® Food Jar.

 

Tips:

  • Please consume the porridge within 6 hours after keeping warm.
